Privacy notice
GenApp builds EV Route Planning, an EV navigation and charging app that our partners offer to their customers. We collect only what the app needs to work and we follow the principles of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Account details from Google or Apple sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture.
- Trip details you enter, such as destinations, your vehicle model and battery level, to plan your route and charging stops.
- Your position while the app is open, used anonymously for live traffic and hazard reports. Positions are kept for two minutes and never stored as movement history. You can switch sharing off in Settings.
- Sign-in records (time, device type and IP address) to keep accounts secure.
How we use it
To plan routes, charging stops and reminders, to warn drivers about hazards and slow traffic, to secure accounts, and to support our partners. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing
The partner whose branded app you use can see your account details and usage of their app. We use trusted service providers for hosting, maps and email, under agreements that protect your information.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information at any time. Contact info@genapp.co.za.
